    Hello,

We are big fans of Creloaded. We’ve been on for a long time. We see that there is a 7.5 release and we’ve installed it on it our servers. Do you folk have any scripts that allow for 6.x to 7.5 migration? I’d hate to lose those customers.

Heck, I’ll pay $100 for the script. It saves me time.

    v/R,

    Otto

    Hi Otto,

Thanks for your message and your question.

Indeed we are looking to build a script to migrate data from 6.4 (and 6.5) to 7.5. We are also planning to build scripts for migration from other shopping cart solutions to Loaded Commerce.

Will let you know once we have the script available, although it will probably be 2 weeks or so from now.

Quick question – how are you finding 7.5 so far?

    Kind regards,
    Vad

That’s wonderful news that you will be able to provide a migration script! We’re still on the older 6.4 and were waiting for 7.x. Well, several years ago, we tried the initial 7.0 release and we had challenges. We had to purchase a dedicated server to handle some requirements for installation. Thankfully, during this new release, there is no need for specific modules or scripts. We were able to use shared web hosting and it worked fine! We had no issues installing this and the installation process was very well designed. We saw a big improvement! Thank you!

For us to really test the 7.5, we’d love to migrate the current cart to see how it behaves. We have a few items that are very unique that we’ll need to test.
    -Flat rate shipping module
-Credit card payment module that interfaces with our merchant account
    -UPS shipping module
-Customer groups and private access to specific products (must be logged in to see them)

    Future desired plugins:
    -photo ID registration

Once we get the usual plugins, we’ll perm upgrade to 7.5.

    v/r,

    Otto

    Hi Otto,

Thanks for the follow up comments!

Glad to hear Loaded 7.5 has been installed ok on your shared hosting, and that the installation went well.

We already have a very flexible flat rate module where you can set zones, and shipping tables for each of the zones. You can even change the name of the shipping method per zone.

What merchant account do you currently use? We support a number of payment gateways at the moment, including Authorize.net, SagePay, WorldPay, and some others. Naturally there’s PayPal.

We have UPS module as well, actually.

Customer groups – in case it is not present in the CE Beta RC1, it is definitely going to be available in the PRO version. You will be able to hide products from certain customer groups (like the “general” one) and enable them for certain groups only.

    Kind regards,
    Vad

    Hello,

Thank you for pointing out the zones. I think we can mirror our older configuration by the method that you’ve shown us.

For the payment process, we’re using First Data (https://www.firstdata.com/en_us/home.html). Now, they support an API and from what I remember, there was a CRELOADED 7 module that we could purchase, but if one comes in house, that’ll really open up for everyone. We might end up paying for the module if that still exists. The idea is that there is a secure checkout (PCI compliant) and the merchant’s website handles taking the credit card information. This is what stopped us from going live from 6.4 to 7.0 before.

Looks like the UPS module is there and that’s great! That’ll save us time.

We’ll need the customer groups prior to going live, but for now, once the migration script is there, we can observe how it behaves.

We’ll have to look at the module documentation. We may end up creating our own customer registration module that allows photo ID uploads or pay someone.

Well, we’re big fans of Creloaded. Recently, we had to look at our options of going to prestashop to support. But, if creloaded 7.5 is going to take care of the main portions, it makes sense to keep with Creloaded. Our customers are use to it and we won’t need to reset their passwords. Looking forward to the migration script and we’ll start testing it for bugs.

    V/R,

    Otto
