Quick Adds

Quick Adds in Loaded 7 are options to add an item to another area of the Admin without navigating through the necessary menus to get there. Those categories that you can ‘quick add’ something to are:

 

  • Customers
  • Categories
  • Products
  • Specials
  • Manufacturers
  • Banners
  • Newsletters

By selecting Quick Adds and then the category you wish to add to, you can bypass a number of steps to get to that add screen. When you are done adding that item, you will now be in the category you added to. To get out, select an item from the Quick Select Navigation Bar.

We will show you how to Quick Adds to all of these areas right here.

For all of the above items, Select Quick Add from wherever you are in the Admin and choose which type of Quick Adds you are making from the list that opens up. Image 1 shows you this list open and ready for selection:

Quick Adding a Customer

Follow these steps to Quick Add a Customer’s information.

 

  • Select Customers from the Quick Adds menu. Image 2 shows you the Add Customers screen. You will be brought to the Add a New Customer screen within Customers.  Decide the setting on these options:
    • Newsletter-Yes or no.
    • Active-Yes or no.
  • Enter the necessary information into the content fields:
    • First name.
    • Last name.
    • E-mail address.
  • Password and password confirmation.
  • Select which group:
    • Registered or Wholesale.
  • Select Save to confirm the add or cancel to stop the add.
  • If you have additional customers to add, select Continue to add the next one.

Quick Adds Categories

 

Follow these steps to Quick Add information about a category.

 

Content Tab:

  • If you have an image ready, you can upload the image preview right here.  This is a preview image for the category when Loaded 7 displays it.
    • You can drag and drop from your desktop or image folder or choose to upload the image through the file manager.
  • When you have selected the image to upload, you can enter the following information:
    • Category Title.
    • Nick or short name (24 characters) of the category.
    • Listing Blurb.
    • Any additional content to be displayed with the category.
    • Permalink.
    • Meta Keywords.
  • Choose the Mode of the category.
  • Choose the Parent category.
  • Decide whether the status is on or off.
  • Select a visibility option:
    • Top Nav or
    • Infobox.
  • Decide on the Page type:
    • Standard HTML.
    • Photo Album.
    • FAQ.
  • Select Save in the top right when you are finished.

The process of adding information to the Data Tab is not necessary until the feature is support by Loaded Commerce developers.

 Quick Adds Products

Select Products from the Quick Adds menu. You are now in the Add New Product screen.  There are 6 tabs to enter information into. Those are:

 

Content

    • Enter information for the new Product:
      • To add images of your product, click on Select File.  Loaded 7 will open your file manager allowing you to select the image you wish to use.  You can select and upload multiple images.  When the images you selected have been uploaded, click the next tab or Data to continue.
      • Name-the brand name of the product, as in iPod Nano.
      • Description-The information that describes what the product is.
      • Permalink-This is a keyword unique to the product within your store database.
      • Tags-Individual words that search engines use to list and find your product through the internet.
      • Base Price-The price of the product before any taxes or rates are added.
      • Status-Set to Active or Inactive.

Data

  • To add Product Data, Select the Data tab and enter the following information:
    • Model-The manufacturer’s model number for the product.
    • MSRP-Manufacturer’s suggested retail price.
    • Inventory Control-Allows you to choose between adding a simple product with no variants or a multi-SKU product with variants.
      • Single SKU:Enter the Quantity on Hand and SKU number.
      • Multi SKU:Edit QOH and SKU in the Options Tab first.
    • Tax Settings-To set the tax group that the product is in, and the base price with tax.
    • Management Settings-
      • Product Classes-Select the class that the Product is in.
      • Date Available-Enter the date the product is available.
      • Ends-Enter the date product availability ends.
      • Manufacturer-Enter the name of the Product manufacturer.

Options

Whether you are entering a simple product with one SKU or a complex item with multiple SKUs, you can configure them here and manage them under Options Manager.

Before you can add a product option you have a to have already set up an option group. See Options Manager (coming up next in the guide) to set up an option group.

If you have one or more option groups set up, you can assign them to the new product that you are adding to your store. In the Simple Options part of Figure 4A, you would see the option groups that you added (in Options Manager) and would be able to choose one of each type for the product at this point.

Your store can process both Simple and Multi-SKU products

To add a single Product Option to a product SKU follow these steps:

  1. Make certain you are in Simple mode, option 1, Image 4C.
  2. Select the Add button for a product option to be imported from Options Manager.  Loaded 7 will take you through a series of menus based on what you added in Options Manager until a single variant is selected.  Images 4D, 4E and 4F show three steps:
    1. Select the Add button, Image 4D.
    2. Select the variant group, Image 4E.
    3. Select the variant, Image 4F.
  3. Loaded 7 will now display the variant with the following details, as in Image 4G:
    1. Name-the name you give to describe the variant.
    2. Type-the type of menu the customer will interact with.
    3. Sort-the sort order for this menu.
    4. On-is the variant enabled or disabled?.
    5. Action-actions you can take: Edit or Delete the variant.

To add multiple Product Options to a single SKU in Loaded 7 Pro:

  1. Select the Multi-SKU button, option 2, Image 5A which will open to the page in Image 5H.
  2. You have have the ability to only assign sub products at this point.  Combo Options will be available soon.  These items are necessary to set up a sub product:
    1. Sub Product Name-the name describing the sub product.
    2. Status-the status of the sub product.  Note: you will be selecting the default option and/or enabling the sub product as well.
    3. Weight-the numerical weight of the item.  You should already have your default weight configured.
    4. SKU/EAN13-if your product has a manufacturer assigned tracking number.
    5. QOH-quantity on hand, actual physical inventory.
    6. Base Price-the price of the sub product without taxes or other factors applied.
    7. Image-immediately upload an image for the sub product when the camera icon is selected.
    8. Action-check red X to remove row.

Pricing

    • Base Price-Enter the base price of the product.  If you entered the base price under the Content tab it will already be here.
    • Group Price-A preview is given for features available in the Loaded 7 B2B.  As an example:
      • If the price of the product is changed for being in a group, enter the group price here.
        • Select the Disabled button to enable group pricing for this product, or
        • Select the downward arrow to the right to open the Group pricing options.
          • Turn on or off the Retail and Wholesale pricing options.
          • Select the price that you want for either, as needed.
    • Quantity Break Price-Also a feature of Loaded 7 B2B.  As an example:
      • If you are offering a break on pricing due to a minimum quantity being purchased, enter that price here.
        • Select the Disabled button to or arrow to open the Quantity Break Price menu.
        • Enter the number of products needed to be purchased in order to receive the price break.
        • Enter the price break.
    • Options Pricing-Is also a Loaded 7 B2B feature but no preview is given at this time.

Shipping

 

  • In the Product Characteristics enter the base weight of the item and its  weight class.
  • Under Supplier Characteristics, select the Days to Ship.

  • Decide and select which category or categories you would like the product to be displayed in.
  • Finish-Select ‘Save’ to confirm you Quick Add of the new product.

Quick Adds Specials

  • Select Quick Adds, then select Specials from the Quick Add menu. You will see a pop up window as in Image 5A.
  • Under Product, select the Product you wish to add a Special to.
  • For Special Price (Net)/Percentage, add either the price of the Special or the percentage of the Special.
  • Decide whether the Special is active or not.
  • Add the start date and the end date of the Special.
  • Click Save to confirm the Quick Add or Cancel to cancel the add.

Quick Adds Manufacturers

  • After Selecting Manufacturers from the Quick Adds menu, you will see this pop up as in Image 6A.
  • Add the name of the manufacturer.
  • If you have an image saved on the device you are using to perform the Quick Add Manufacturer task, use the Select File button to upload it.
  • If you know of an applicable URL from the manufacturer, input that here.

Quick Adds Banners

  • When you select Banners from the Quick Add menu, this pop up window appears as in Image 7A.
  • Title Space-Enter the title of the banner for your Admin’s database.
  • URL-Enter the URL of your banner if you have one.
  • Target-Yes to open a new window on click through, and No to remain in the same window.
  • Group-Decide which group, if any to include the banner in. If you have not made any additional groups after installation, the banner will become part of the ‘main page’ group.  If you wish to create a new group for the banner enter the group name in the space provided.
  • Image-If the banner is an image saved on your device, select that file here.
  • Image Target-Loaded 7 already picks a path and destination folder for your images. But you can change that here.
  • HTML Text-If your banner is generated from HTML, you can paste or type it into this space.
  • Schedule Date-When the banner will begin appearing in your store.
  • Expiry Date-When the banner will stop appearing in your store.
  • Maximum Impressions-If you would rather the banner show up X number times, enter that number here.
  • Active-Enable Yes to enable, No to disable.
  • Click Save to confirm or Cancel to cancel adding the banner.

Quick Add Newsletters

  • When you select Newsletters from the Quick Add menu, this pop up window appears, as in Image 8A.
  • Decide which of the three newsletter modules to use:
  • E-mail
  • Newsletter
  • Product Notifications
  • Add a title for the newsletter.
  • Paste or type in the content of your newsletter.
  • Select Save to confirm the add or Cancel to cancel the add.

Quick Adds Coupons

  • Coupon Details-
    • Short Name-Enter a short name which will be used in the catalog order total listings (i.e. Discount or Coupon).
    • Notes-Enter any notes you may need to describe the coupon. Notes are only for Administrator reference and are not used anywhere else.
    • Redemption Code-Enter the coupon code, or leave blank to auto generate a code.
    • Reward-
      • Price or %-The discount value; either fixed or percent. (i.e. 10% or 10.00)
      • Free Shipping-Enable coupon to allow free shipping on an order.
        • Note: This overrides the coupon reward above but respects the minimum order value.
      • Enabled-Enable or disable the coupon. A disabled coupon will return as “not found” when used during checkout.
  • Use Limits-
    • Purchases Over-The minimum order amount required before the coupon can be redeemed.
    • Total Uses-The maximum number of times the coupon can be used. Enter 0 for no limit.
    • Uses Per Customer-The maximum number of times the coupon can be used by each customer. Enter 0 for no limit.
    • Start Date-The starting date the coupon will be valid from (optional).
    • End Date-The date the coupon expires (optional).
