Modules and Templates

Modules are expansion packs that are designed by second or third party developers for use with your Loaded 7 cart.  All of the modules require the Free Core Edition to operate, as they are expansions designed for Loaded 7 only.  Some modules are already a functioning part of Loaded 7 when you install it and others require additional download and set up.  Modules that are part of the Free Core Edition of Loaded 7 are found in these areas:

  • Order Total-Modules that process charges added to your customer’s order totals.
  • GeoIP-A module that helps determine the location of your customer.

  • Service-Modules that help miscellaneous areas of your store function, some requiring installation..

  • Products-Adding the options of ‘date available,’ days to ship’ and manufacturer information to the options that your store already provides.

Other modules that may need to be downloaded and installed affect these areas of your store:

  • Payment

  • Paypal

  • Shipping

  • Pro Template Pack

  • Inventory

You can access these modules in two ways:

  • From anywhere in Loaded 7, select the Settings button, then
  1. Select the Add Ons button in the Settings Menu, or

  2. Select Modules within the Setup Menu, also under Settings.

Both methods take you through the Add Ons store.  One during initial setup and the other during normal store operation.

Templates are Add Ons that Loaded 7 uses to determine how you would like your store pages set up.  Loaded 7 has four main areas that manage templates from installation through actual use.  Those four areas are:

  • Add On Store-Pro Template Packs and Templates Tab: Select the right template for your store and its products.  See figure 4.
  • Templates:  Where all templates are organized.
  • Template Modules:  Take control of certain aspects of either Box or Content templates.
  • Template Modules Layout:  Arrange your modules by category.

Installing/Editing a Template

  1. You can get there from within Loaded 7 either from the Add Ons tab in the Quick Select Nav Bar or from within the Admin Menu under Settings.
  2. Once you have located the Template you wish to install, select the ‘gold’ installation button.
  3. Loaded 7 will redirect you to the Templates index, where the new template is organized with previously installed templates.  See figure 5.
  4. Next, select the Setup button and your template will be active and ready to be set as default.
  5. When you are ready to use a different template for your store, return to the Templates page and select the Edit button.
  6. The only information you can edit for templates in Loaded 7 is to change whether the selected template is the default template or not.

Please Note:

  • You cannot delete any of the Bootstrap Core templates even if another template is the default.
  • Any template that is marked as the default template cannot be Uninstalled.
  • Once added to your store, Loaded 7 templates cannot be deleted, but they can be uninstalled.  To do so:
    • Select the red Uninstall button, again in figure 5.

Template Modules

Template Modules are modules that exist within the framework of the Loaded 7 template structure.  These modules define boxes and content areas within your store, making sure everything is attractive and functional.  All of your box templates come pre-installed and are indexed in your Template Modules section, as in figure 6 and 7. Box and content modules can be edited or uninstalled and affect certain areas of your Loaded 7 store.  This section only displays template modules from the current default template pack.

The Temple Module Layout section allows you to manage template modules within all of the template packs that you have installed, for both boxes and content.  You can add new modules, edit modules and delete them.  You can also navigate between template packs.  See figure 8, below, for a visual.
