System Tools

System tools are utilities, many which are automatic, that manage the core of your Loaded 7 cart. These utilities include:

  • Administrator’s Log – a record of all updates and changes made to your store, who made it and when.

  • Backup Manager – whenever Loaded 7 makes a backup copy of your database, that gets listed here.

  • Cache Control – Loaded 7 automatically generates cache folders and lists them all here.

  • Error Log – all errors are listed here as they are generated.

  • File Manager – lists and allows management of core files of Loaded 7.

  • Server Information – a list of information that Loaded 7 reports on regarding the server that your store is installed to.

  • Core Updates – any management of updates to the core program of Loaded 7.

The Administrator Log

The Administrator Log is a real time report on all updates and and actions made by any and all administrators registered to your store. If they insert an item somewhere or update the cart the module affected, type of action, and user is listed. To see the actual date and time of the action select the Action button in the same row as the item in question.

The Backup Manager

The Backup Manager lists and allows you to manage all database backups made to the store, that have not been deleted. You can initiate a backup yourself in a few different ways, restore to to a previous backup or delete a backup file. Loaded 7 does not auto-backup in timed intervals, instead it creates a backup file when you update the Core. You can select this option yourself, at any time following the instructions below.

To Backup your cart:

  1. Select the blue Backup button above the listing.

  2. A dialog box will open asking you to select the type of compression and whether you would like to download without saving.

  3. Select Backup when you have made your selection.

To Restore your cart to a previously saved Backup:

  1. There are two options, restore from a backup file saved within Loaded 7, or restore from a backup saved on your PC.

    1. Select the green Restore button on the top of the screen.

      1. A dialog box will open with a file upload box. Choose Select File to locate and upload a backup from your PC.

      2. Select Restore to confirm.

      3. To restore with a backup file saved in this listing, select the Restore button in the row of the database you have chosen. Loaded 7 will ask you to verify the database, you can do so by selecting Restore in the dialog box that opens.

    To Delete a Backup:

    1. Select the Delete button in the row of the backup file you wish to delete.

    2. Loaded 7 will ask you to confirm this choice.

    3. Select Delete in the dialog box to do so.

    Cache Control

    Cache Control is the location where Loaded 7 reports on the cache files that it generates during normal operation. You cannot add to or edit them, as they are system generated, but you can delete them as the need may arise. Such as when something is changed or updated elsewhere and a cache file needs to be cleared to operate normally. To do so, select Delete from the row of the item you wish to delete. Loaded 7 does not ask you to confirm this delete.

    The Error Log

    The Error Log is a permanent listing of any error tracked by your Loaded 7 store. We say permanent because you cannot add to, edit or delete an error in this listing. It simply provides a chronological path that our tech support can use to help figure out a problem, if one arises.

    The File Manager

    The File Manager is a tool for managing core files within Loaded 7. Experienced web developers and our own tech support personnel will make use of this feature to repair errors or damaged files that ‘might’ develop over time. Within this section, you can upload or download a necessary file, create a new file or folder, edit files, and delete files as needed.

    Upload a file:

    1. To Upload a file, select the blue Upload button at the top.

    2. Loaded 7’s file manager will open allowing you to select the file within your own computer.

    3. Choose to confirm your choice and Loaded 7 will upload the file right away.

    Note that if the file destination is one of the listed folders, that folder will already have to be open to accept the file. To return to the previous folder, use your browser’s back button.

    Download a file:

    1. To download a file from this section, select the Download option in the row of the file you wish to download. The file will automatically download to your download folder.

    Creating a new file:

    1. To create a new file or folder, select the New File button.

    2. In the dialog box that opens, put in the title of the file and either type or cut and paste the coding for the file in the larger box.

    3. Select Save when you have finished.

    Creating a new folder:

    1. Simply input the directory or folder name and select Save to continue.

    Editing files:

    1. Similar to adding a new file, select the Edit button in the row of the item you are editing, in the dialog box, make the necessary changes.

    2. Select Save to confirm.

    Deleting files:

    1. To delete a file, select the Delete button in the row of the item you are deleting.

    2. Loaded 7 will ask you to confirm that choice in the dialog box that pops up.

    3. Select Delete to confirm that.

    Note-if you get stuck inside a folder, select Refresh and then Parent_Level from the file list to return to the main directory page.

    Server Information

    Server Information is a report that Loaded 7 does to confirm that the server it is installed to meets particular criteria for Loaded 7 to function normally. Any necessary information about your server and its relationship with Loaded 7 is displayed here. Should you need to make any corrections due to an error, this information will be very helpful to you, your web developer and even Loaded 7 tech support.
